Restoration, Preservation and Heritage Support Program
I. Program Description Defined Amount Donations Fine Line Enterprise has established a donation program to provide financial support for the purposes and activities of selected organizations. An appropriate defined contribution is made to the organizations from the sales proceeds of certain eligible products. A donation confirmation card is included in each eligible Railart product package. The card provides the name, address and Internet information of the recipient organization along with the amount and purpose of the donation.
Eligible Products Not all Fine Line Railart products are eligible for the program. A product may become eligible either by request from the creator of the product’s Railart subject, or with the approval of the organization associated with the Railart subject. A Fine Line Railart product may feature any railroad related subject .Fine Line Enterprise is proud to offer Railart subjects on reclaimed materials including; re-sawn railroad ties, re-sawn utility poles, reclaimed brick, marble, metal, wood, stained glass and other materials. Fine Line products presented on recycled materials are also eligible for donations
Selected Organizations Recipient Selection Criteria Organizations receiving donations are approved by the creator or organization associated with the eligible product To be selected, an organization must be engaged in one or more of the following activities.
- Promoting a general interest in railroad history; - Restoring or preserving the actual subject of the particular Fine Line Railart product; - Displaying or promoting the history of the actual subject of the Fine Line Railart product; - Promoting the history of the organization associated with the subject of the Fine Line Railart product; - Promoting common sense solutions to environmental problems; Special Recipients The National Railway Historical Society Fine Line Enterprise has selected The National Railway Historical Society (Railway Heritage Grants Program) as a general interest recipient whose “Heritage Grant” projects are not necessarily associated with a specific Fine Line Railart product. The Property and Environmental Research Center The Property and Environmental Research Center (PERC) is an organization dedicated to promoting market-based solutions to environmental problems.We have selected PERC as a recipient, in order to highlight Fine Line’s creative, market focused alternative for reuse of recycled materials. II. Eligible Approved Products and Recipients A. Berkompas Locomotive Collection - Program Recipients A donation of Five Dollars from the sale of each Berkompas Locomotive Plaque will be distributed according to the schedule below. For each engraving on reclaimed railroad tie boards, an additional donation of One Dollar will be made to PERC. The Property and Environmental Research Center (PERC) is an organization dedicated to promoting market-based solutions to environmental problems.
Two Dollars to the National Railway Historical Society - Railway Heritage Grants Program
Three Dollars respectively to a Recipient Organization dedicated to, or associated with, the restoration, preservation, display or history of the specific subject Locomotive or related Railroad.
